Bob Dylan: a year has gone – month by month since May 2014

We’ve had a great Bob Dylan year and it is time to look at some of the highlights. We have posted almost more than 600 (closer to 700) posts about Bob Dylan, so, it has been hard to distill this into one or two highlights per month from the last year (from May 24 2014 to May 24 2015).

August 2014:

Bob Dylan toured Australia, and here is one of the best performances from that leg, Trying ToGet To Heaven (Live at the The Tivoli, Brisbane, August 27):

September 2014:

The AllDylan community voted these albums the 20 best of all time.

We changed our name from Johannasvisions to AllDylan.

October 2014:

November 2014:

Bob Dylan’s The Basement Tapes Complete: The Bootleg Series Vol. 11 was released on November 4. Compiled from meticulously restored original tapes – many found only recently – this historic six-disc set is the definitive chronicle of the artist’s legendary 1967 recording sessions with members of his touring ensemble who would later achieve their own fame as The Band.

January 2015:

Bob Dylan officially released the first song from his coming album, Stay With Me, it had been part of the live set since late 2014 (and still is):

  1. It’s been an amazing year for Bob Dylan–thank you for summing it up for easy reference. I’ll save this post and study it at leisure. Happy to discover your blog. We’re lucky to still have Bob with us and still singing. What a rare artist and wise man he is.

Nice to see a picture of Karl Erik today as I am a great fan of Expecting Rain as another essential site for Dylan/music lovers.
