William Royce “Boz” Scaggs (born June 8, 1944) is an American singersongwriter and guitarist. He gained fame in the 1960s as a guitarist and sometime lead singer with the Steve Miller Band, and in the 1970s with several solo Top 20 hit singles in the United States, including the well-known hits “Lowdown” and “Lido Shuffle” from the critically acclaimed album Silk Degrees, which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Scaggs continues to write, record music and tour.

  1. I have no problem calling Corrina, Corrina a Dylan song as it is clearly the Dylan version that William Royce Scaggs is beautifully covering here. Sometimes an artists’ version is so good that it becomes the defining version and I think that is what happened to Corrina, Corrina. Another one we could put in this category would be Delia from World Gone Wrong.

    Or how about the Jimi Hendrix version of All Along the Watchtower, when the author himself starts to play it the way of the cover version, then you can rightfully say that “in a sense, All Along the Watchtower is a Hendrix song.”

    But using this logic, is Make You Feel My Love a Garth Brooks song?
