  1. “I Am not here” is a supposed show boat of Bob Dylan’s life . Ok I gave up & watched some of it ; I was right all along . Many scenes are not believable even from this past 20 years ;did the college , traveling & the meets. Too unrealistic even for my life’s journey. When we did things that were all our firsts ; we got scared , shocked & laughed. Never had a bird bath full of who knows kinds of pills. Bob may be bit eccentric but all in all , they didn’t do movie justice!

  2. I recently found out that this live version was taped here in Holland and it gives me chills every time I hear and see it….for me it is the best Dylan cover
    of all times….

  3. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, comes close to the emotional build up of that Nina Simone version. The intensity grows to the climactic scene upon which the final wrap up comes close to the cigarette after making love.

Amazing, Egil and thanks so much for these cover posts.

  4. Maybe too early in the morning but Mitch Ryder’s version, really? One of the best. Different maybe.

  5. Hey, there’s a lesser-known version of “It’s all over now, baby blue” by FALCO, an Austrian cool-cat ( lives no more ), who did this number partly in English, partly in German. Recommended.

  6. Nico’s version of Dylan’s “I’ll Keep It With Mine” is just O.K. And I AM a Nico fan. BUT, Sandy Denny’s version, both with Fairport Convention, as well as solo, totally BLOWS Nico’s version Out Of the Water. I’s rate Nico’s version a 6 of 10, but Sandy’s version a Stone Cold Perfect 10! I hope that it will be included ineither pt. 4 or 5. Sandy’s voice is so much Better! Heavenly! Just my very insightful and humble opinion. Thank You Very Much & Peace Be With You! Sincerely, SMRZ!!
