Latest update – July 6
As expected a spicy setlist for the second Paris show. The show started with “The Ties That Bind,” and it was followed by no fewer than five more songs before anything from Bruce’s new album was played!
The 6 first songs:
The Ties That Bind
No Surrender
Two Hearts
Downbound Train
Candy’s Room
Something in the Night
update – July 5
The second leg of the European leg kicked off in Paris last night. A hot night due to air-condition not working. 2 Tour premiers: Sandy (off course – 4th july) & Independence day. Easy Money was back & Shackle was dropped.
… and Patti was back on stage… for her first appearance in Europe since July of 2008
Update – July 1
Playing 3h40m @ San Siro (Milan) – June7 & a fantastic setlist… this is getting serious! And it is also one of the longest shows of his career.
The 2 next shown (Florence & Trieste) were also “long shows”, well over 3 hours. Bruce was in top form on all 3 of them!
In Manchester June 22 – Prove It” ’78 returns… fingers still crossed for the concerts in Norway.
Twist & Shout from Madrid:
– UPDATED June 4
We’re over in Europe now, and magic happened on the first Barcelona show (May-17): He finally… after 34 years… played the 78-intro to Prove it all night!!!
He has only played Prove It once since that show (San Sebastian – June 02), and did not iclude the magic intro….
BUT there is always hope… Let’s hope he picks it up again asap.. Paris ? for the double concert ??
But if dreams came true, oh, wouldn’t that be nice
Here is a video from Barcelona May-17… (the proof):
– UPDATED May 2
The first US leg is history. The shows have been receiving good-to-raving reviews..
Next concert will be over in Europe in Sevilla, Spain on the 13th of May.
– UPDATED April 12
YES!! – “Out In The Street” is in…. Let’s hope he keeps it… & Tour debut of “Youngstown“… cool. It might have been a request (someone was showing a sign reading “Greetings from Youngstown, Ohio” at the concert…)
This tour is really looking good…. and it’s only just started… !!
From original first post:
It’s still very early, and we know he usually makes changes when crossing the Atlantic…
I hope he will slim down on the new songs, and hopefully drop some Rising-stuff.. at least PLEASE leave “Waiting on a Sunny Day”… (I’m pretty sure he will not…). Stay with “Thunder Road”, build “Born To Run” in the encore (at least every second concert). I’m hoping “Prove It All Night” & “Atlantic City” gets more plays (quite sure they will), and that he stays with “Tenth Av.”
Hoping for “Out In The Street” & “Youngstown”….. still a long way to go… we will monitor closely…
