There will be a book and a film released  titled  Trouble No More and Trouble in Time: Bob Dylan’s Gospel Years – What Really Happened.

The newest edition in Columbia/Legacy Recordings Bob Dylan bootleg series has been revealed. Trouble No More: The Bootleg Series, Vol. 13/1979-1981 gives us live recordings from his “Christian” or “born again” years from Slow Train Coming, Saved and Shot of Love (79-81).

Then there is a companion documentary that premiered at the New York film festival.

The Trouble No More documentary is directed by Jennifer Lebeau and have footage from Bob Dylan shows in NY, Buffalo and Toronto (1980 Slow Train Coming tour). Would’ve loved to see more complete shows released, but looking forward to see the film.

It is described as:
“a very special film consisting of truly electrifying video footage, much of it thought to have been lost for years and all newly restored, shot at shows in Toronto and Buffalo on the last leg of the ’79-’80 tour (with an amazing band: Muscle Shoals veteran Spooner Oldham and Terry Young on keyboards, Little Feat’s Fred Tackett on guitar, Tim Drummond on bass, the legendary Jim Keltner on drums and Clydie King, Gwen Evans, Mona Lisa Young, Regina McCrary and Mary Elizabeth Bridges on vocals).”

Michael Shannon, the great actor cast as a preacher, performs sermons written by Luc Sante between documentary footage and concert clips.
