Rehearsals for the upcoming tour takes place at the Rundown Studios in Santa Monica.

The rehearsals conducted at Rundown Studio, Santa Monica in the weeks leading up to the briefest of fall tours represent perhaps the most intriguing repertoire of Dylan’s career. The songs rehearsed include some eight brand-new Dylan compositions, five of which are copyrighted from tapes made at Rundown at this time. All five copyrighted songs are of a very high caliber: “Yonder Comes Sin,” “Let’s Keep It Between Us,” “The Groom’s Still Waiting at the Altar,” “Every Grain of Sand,” and “Caribbean Wind.” The other three new songs are “She’s Not for You,” which Dylan plays to Mark Knopfler in an LA hotel room, “City of Gold,” which is subsequently copyrighted from a live tape, and a song called “Makin’ a Liar,” about which nothing else is known.
