It is my fondest wish that the gift of song that God has given me will flow from my soul to yours and help ease any burden that might weigh upon you.
~Bobby WomackYou gotta know when it’s time to hang up. But when I finally go, let me go out on stage, my perfect ending. Don’t let me go when I’m sick or asleep. Let me be in motion.
~Bobby Womack

That’s The Way I Feel About Cha (Live 1971):
Record industry people don’t understand people who create. They’ll say “We’ve gotta get you a room and a piano and see how many songs you can turn out in a day”. But it doesn’t work like that. You can’t put your feelings on a time schedule.
~Bobby Womack (to NME in 1976)
