Lucinda Williams plays Bob Dylan

Happy birthday Lucinda Williams!

Lucinda Williams talks about being influenced by Bob Dylan and his album “Highway 61” on the debut episode of “The Buddy and Jim Show” with Buddy Miller and Jim Lauderdale on SiriusXM Outlaw Country:

Charles Lloyd & The Marvels w/Lucinda Williams – Masters Of War:

Lucinda Williams did the Bob Dylan cover “Trying To Get To Heaven” from the Amnesty International tribute album “Chimes of Freedom” celebrating Amnesty International’s 50th year advocating for human rights, here in three audience recorded live performances and the one from the Amnesty album.

Trying to get to heaven (live, 2011), a bit of chatter on the sound, but still great:

Trying to get to heaven (November 2011):

I also found Positively 4th Street from the album “In Their Own Words”, released in 1994. This is a compilation album of many artists doing covers of songs and is well worth checking out. Enjoy!
