This wonderful bootleg contains many unreleased promo single mixes, and alternate takes of tracks from the “Sticky Fingers sessions”.

Sticky Fingers is in my opinion The Rolling Stones second best album.

Sticky Fingers is the ninth British and 11th American studio album by English rock band the Rolling Stones, released in April 1971. It is the band’s first album of the 1970s and its first release on the band’s newly formed label, Rolling Stones Records, after having been contracted since 1963 with Decca Records in the UK and London Records in the US. It is also Mick Taylor’s first full-length appearance on a Rolling Stones album, the first Rolling Stones album not to feature any contributions from guitarist and founder Brian Jones and the first one on which singer Mick Jagger is credited with playing guitar.

Sticky Fingers is widely regarded as one of the Rolling Stones’ best albums. It achieved triple platinum certification in the US and contains songs such as the chart-topping “Brown Sugar”, the country ballad “Wild Horses”, the Latin-inspired “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking”, and the sweeping ballad “Moonlight Mile”.

1. Brown Sugar (Feat. Eric Clapton & Al Kooper)
   The original take of “Brown Sugar” by the Rolling Stones, featuring Al Kooper on piano and Eric Clapton on slide guitar.
   
2. Sway (Single Version)
   Alternate take of the song “Sway” from The Rolling Stones. This version appeared on a few singles, yet has become a rare piece as it was not included in the Singles Box Set Collection or any Greatest Hits. Judging by the sound, I believe it’s an early demo, the final mix can be found on Sticky Fingers.
   
3. Wild Horses (Pedal Steel Mix)
   Alternate mix of The Rolling Stones’ classic Wild Horses. From the Sticky Fingers sessions demo mixes.
   
4. Sister Morphine (Demo Version)
   Alternate take of Sister Morphine by the Rolling Stones, another demo from the Sticky Fingers sessions.
   
5. Dead Flowers (Alternate Version)
   The Rolling Stones, Dead Flowers, alternate version. Early demo version from the Sticky Fingers sessions.
   
6. Let It Rock (Mono Single Mix)
   Rare Mono Single version of the Rolling Stones cover of Let It Rock. This mono mix was to be used for a single, that never was released.
   
7. Cocksucker Blues
   Cocksucker Blues was recorded in 1970 to be the final single by the Stones with Decca Records. Still owing them a final single after leaving the label, this song shows how much they felt about Decca Records. The track was refused due to the language.
   
8. Brown Sugar (Alternate Version)
   Alternate version of Brown Sugar by The Rolling Stones, recorded in the Sticky Fingers sessions.
   
9. Wild Horses (Alternate Version)
   Alternate version of Wild Horses by the Rolling Stones, another demo during the Sticky Fingers sessions.
   
10. Potted Shrimp
    Instrumental demo by The Rolling Stones, recorded during the Sticky Fingers sessions.

    The Rolling Stones, Sticky Fingers sessions. Although this song would appear on Goat Head Soup, it was recorded and written and 2 years previous during the Sticky Fingers sessions.
