Waterboys divided the show into two parts, the first was a look back to the great tunes in their songbook, the second was the Yeats-album (+ a solid encore of course).

I have listnened to the Yeats-album extesively and it is finally starting to sink in, it’s a grower. But live, man, it was terrific, and the best part of the show!

An audience member kept shouting for “Bring’em all in” and kept on into the Yeats set. Mike Scott responded: I also think it’s a beautiful fuckin’ song, but it doesn’t belong in this fuckin’ set! The caller was quiet the rest of the night…

Mike Scott told us a bit about Yeats beeing Ireland’s national poet.

“Full moon in March” is Yeats idea of a nursery rhyme.
