Tina Turner on Bob Dylan’s ” She/He Belongs to Me ” … I usually don’t like covers of many Dylan songs . They often try to be Dylan , putting in the inflections of Dylan ‘s songs . Which is to try to be Dylan .
Here Tina has followed the basic tone of the song but with her own voice influence . I liked her version , her ability to put tone in the whole song as the original ; she doesn’t over due certain inflections on some phrases to copy Bob Dylan’s and then fall short on tone of original . This is just my opinion , some perfer a new tone in the cover ,
which is fine but then don’t emphasize certain phrases or words in Bob’s unique inflections. Be true to song ‘s music or use totally different music , but don’t butcher song !
