From youtube:

Bob Dylan does a one man concert in Philadelphia for a Swedish TV experiment. “From Experiments Alone – Episode 6 – Bob Dylan”

“Seeing his biggest idol live is in fact often a fantastic experience. But how is it to do it all alone, without anyone else in the audience? Fredrik Wikingsson know. On November 22 2014 played Bob Dylan in Philadelphia, only for him.”

Bob Dylan @ Athens, Greece – June 28, 1989 (full concert video)

The final show of Dylan’s month-long European sojourn is one of the best shows of the tour. Although the main set is a standard length, Dylan includes a unique acoustic “Every Grain of Sand,” and a second and o1Gold.” The encore is five Van Morrison joins Dylan onstage, performing two of Van the Man’s better known songs, “Crazy Love” and “And It Stoned Me.” Filmed for the BBC “Arena” special, they end up unused, presumably because Dylan again has the lights way down.

You got a lotta nerve
To say you are my friend
When I was down
You just stood there grinning

You got a lotta nerve
To say you got a helping hand to lend
You just want to be on
The side that’s winning

November 22: Bob Dylan: second recording session for.. “Bob Dylan”, 1961

bob dylan album 1962

CBS is proud to introduce a major new figure in American folk music—Bob Dylan.
Excitement has been running high since the young man with a guitar ambled into a
recording studio for two sessions in November, 1961. For at only 20, Dylan is the most unusual
new talent in American folk music.
His talent takes many forms. He is one of the most compelling white blues singers ever
recorded. He is a songwriter of exceptional facility and cleverness. He is an uncommonly
skillful guitar player and harmonica player.
~Stacey Williams (“Bob Dylan” LP. liner notes – March 1962)

Dylan comes across as obsessed with the romance of dying, but the speed, energy and attack
in his guitar, harmonica and voice show how fresh and excellently ‘unprofessional’ he was.
…..
Yet what comes through from the album as a whole is a remarkable skill and more than a hint
of a highly distinctive vision.
~Michael Gray (The Bob Dylan Encyclopedia)

Nov 21: Bob Dylan plays Visions of Johanna, London, England 2005 (Video)

bob dylan london 2005

Ain’t it just like the night to play tricks when you’re tryin’ to be so quiet?
We sit here stranded, though we’re all doin’ our best to deny it
And Louise holds a handful of rain, temptin’ you to defy it
Lights flicker from the opposite loft
In this room the heat pipes just cough
The country music station plays soft
But there’s nothing, really nothing to turn off
Just Louise and her lover so entwined
And these visions of Johanna that conquer my mind
