November 14: Bob Dylan Tonight I’ll Be Staying Here With You, San José, California 1997 (Video)

Redirecting to a newer version of this post….

bob dylan san jose 1997

Throw my ticket out the window
Throw my suitcase out there, too
Throw my troubles out the door
I don’t need them anymore
’Cause tonight I’ll be staying here with you

San José Arena
San José, California
14 November 1997

Musicians:

  • Bob Dylan (vocal & guitar)
  • Bucky Baxter (pedal steel guitar & electric slide guitar)
  • Larry Campbell (guitar)
  • Tony Garnier (bass)
  • David Kemper (drums & percussion)

I should have left this town this morning
But it was more than I could do
Oh, your love comes on so strong
And I’ve waited all day long
For tonight when I’ll be staying here with you

Is it really any wonder
The love that a stranger might receive
You cast your spell and I went under
I find it so difficult to leave

I can hear that whistle blowin’
I see that stationmaster, too
If there’s a poor boy on the street
Then let him have my seat
’Cause tonight I’ll be staying here with you

Throw my ticket out the window
Throw my suitcase out there, too
Throw my troubles out the door
I don’t need them anymore
’Cause tonight I’ll be staying here with you

  1. How great would that be!!Don’t think it’s ever happened in public,i wonder has there been anything behind closed doors?

  2. Hi

    This is obviously awesome.
however, i think you are bringing and end to the best YT channel even made,
and putting in danger the effort this channels creator has bee investing for a long time now.

sure you know what i mean.
Love you all, and love this site.
    Me.

    1. Thanks for your feedback Mr. Me.

I understand what your aiming at… but I’m not sure how real the danger is.
I’m not that much into YT policy etc… and this is not “released” material…

But I would really like more input on this subject.

My email is also an option ([email protected])
